Creative Space Thursday

A little late in the day I know but its worth the wait, the top of the Union Jack is finished!! Yah!!!

The plan was to make Kate and James the quilt for their wedding present which it still is, but I was planning on making the top, which has taken longer than anticipated and then have it machine quilted by someone else. But now that I have finished, we feel that it would take away from it to have quilting all over the top so now I was thinking just a machine stitch in the ditch would be better, which means more work for me, bummer (I do say that in jest), I love giving such great gifts but sometimes they take so much more time than I probably realistically have.

Anyhow, its already a late gift so a bit longer won't hurt.

So there you have it, the Union Jack. Check out other creative spaces at Kirsty's.
Have a great weekend, I am off to Melbourne with a girlfriend, again kids free, lucky us, and our husbands are off to a farm with 5 girls!!! How funny. As much as we'll have fun, I still always miss the girls, oh and the hubby.

Have fun
Ren x

Wow, I love your union jack, it looks amazing! Although it is a lot of work I'm sure that the people who receive it will absolutely love it. Hope you have fun in Melbourne, I know it's hard to say goodbye sometimes but think of all those cuddles on your return! xo
